Here is the “flipper” I’ll be wearing for the next six months or so while the bone graft heals, the implant is done, and finally a permanent crown is put on.
Here I am wearing the flipper. Joanne is making me laugh, and it hurts to smile right now. That’s my excuse for looking so funny. Laughing and smiling big, but trying hard not to smile so hard because it hurts, which just makes me laugh more.

You totally look like the kid on the cover of MAD magazine in this photo except your head is tall while his head is wide. Funny! Ha, ha!

In your mouth, looks great. Flipper on the table, well, it looks like a detached nipple to Kris and I. I first thought you got custom nipple gaurds to protect your nips from chafing while running. Guess I was wrong there.
Honestly, in your mouth, it looks perfectly fine, and I don’t think your teeth look like nips.

It was hard to take a picture of the flipper. I ended up taking it upside down, which maybe caused your confusion. It makes me talk funny! I can’t tell what’s best: talking funny, or having a missing tooth. I’ll give it a few weeks and see if I get used to it.
